I wrote this haiku for my friend Daniel who writes many stories about dragons making love.
In fact, CNN’s Anderson Cooper just reported that the American Psychiatric Association has released a statement saying that “Daniel is a man with too much time on his hands.”
That may change however since Daniel recently signed a deal to be U.S. advertising and TV commercial spokesman for a new German company that makes magic mushroom laced cinnamon buns.
Said the company’s female CEO Sherrie from her home at the foot of the Alps, “Daniel is our biggest U.S. customer so I thought, why not make him our spokesman?”.
Filming for the new commercials is currently underway in the South Pacific.

Good for Daniel! It’s great when one’s passions align with one’s profession.

Yes, just as Paul Gauguin went to the South Pacific to paint those beautiful Polynesian women, so Daniel heads to the South Pacific to watch dragons making love.

Yes, it’s always great to be able to get away and try new things. 🙂
As Vincent Van Gogh once complained to Gauguin, “Boy, did the boss ever talk my ear off today.”

Yes, those magic mushroom cinnamon buns seem to serve as an aphrodisiac for dragons to make love. 😉

You are a dear friend Chris! Enjoyed this Haiku. I’m not sure if the magic mushroom cinnamon buns gave me the idea of dragons making love or it was three nights in a supposedly 4-star motel where the newly weds in the next room broadcast their evening nuptials through the vent in the bathroom. I actually memorized their entire dialog. It was, “OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD, OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD, OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD! SQUEEK-SQUEEK, OH GOD! and repeat.
I believe it was storming those three days and nights. Knowing my complete addiction to those buns, I’d have to say it was just 2 + 2= Viola! 🙂

Yes, those 4-star hotels can be killers at times.
As one TV set in Elvis’ hotel room found out when the singer decided to use the screen for target practice for his hand gun.

Clearly it was self defense. A critic probably disparaged his hip throw which was always a quarter measure out of beat.

Yes, no doubt Elvis found himself “all shook up” at that critic’s remark.
Not having a “wooden heart”, he did to the critic’s face on the TV screen what he couldn’t bring himself to do to “old Shep”.

That’s the true story his agent wouldn’t let him tell 🙂

Yes, these agents are like a surprise visitor when one is lying face down on the boards of a Turkish steam bath- they can be a real pain in the ass at times.
