The Vampiress With Amnesia – Coming Soon To An Amazon Near You

This it turns out will be my 1000th blog post on WordPress.

And so in effect this post is a milestone.

So I will talk about some of the milestones going on in my life at the moment.

In the next couple of weeks, I hope to have my 1st vampire novel uploaded and published to Amazon and ready for sale.

The name of my 1st vampire novel (which was written between April 2009 and July 2010) is The Vampiress With Amnesia.

The Vampiress With Amnesia is the first book in a vampire septology (series of 7 vampire novels) that I’m writing called The Vampire Hunter Samurai Chronicles.

I’m currently in the middle of writing the 5th book in the series – so at this point in time The Vampire Hunter Samurai Chronicles is a pentalogy but I’m hoping to make it a septology.

The other thing going on in my life at the moment is I’ve set up a Go Fund Me page.

As many of my close friends here at WordPress know, I’ve been diligently searching for a job for over 15 months now since January 2015 and so far none of the places where I have applied have hired me.

Most haven’t even given me callbacks.

So in lieu of the impending financial crisis going on in my life, I’ve set up a Go Fund Me page to help me pay for rent and food until such time as I’ve managed to land a job.

Here’s the link to my Go Fund Me page:

https://www.gofundme.com/2s99rkmc

In terms of other milestones in my life, I published my 1st book back in January of this year a Sherlock Holmes fan fiction entitled The Giant Rat of Sumatra.

The paperback edition of my book can be purchased here:

https://www.createspace.com/6025724

The Kindle digital e-book edition can be purchased here:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1W526W

I have also earlier this week set up an author page on Amazon.

I’ve been trying since January to find out where exactly on the Amazon web site authors can go to set up an author page for themselves.

Then last week I got my monthly email newsletter from Createspace (the division of Amazon that prints up paperback editions of books) for this month of April and they had a link to an article by a writer showing the links one uses to create an author page on Amazon.

So now I have an author page on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Christopher-Milner/e/B01EUR8ILG

As I have mentioned, my first vampire novel The Vampiress With Amnesia should be published and available for sale on Amazon during the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, my friend Daniel aka Hyperion Sturm is giving the readers on his blog a sneak peek of my vampire novel The Vampiress With Amnesia by publishing on his blog the first 5 to 6 chapters of The Vampiress With Amnesia over the next few weeks.

Here’s Chapter 1 of The Vampiress With Amnesia here:

https://hyperionsturm.wordpress.com/2016/04/23/dracul-van-helsing/

Here’s Chapter 2 of The Vampiress With Amnesia here:

https://hyperionsturm.wordpress.com/2016/04/29/the-vampiress-with-amnesia-chapter-2/

So 1000 blog posts here at WordPress.

I believe I started publishing here back around 2006 or 2007.

I did not publish much here in those days as Journalspace and later Xanga were my primary blogging sites.

Now with the passing of Journalspace and Xanga into cyberspace oblivion, WordPress has become my primary blogging site.

It’s also probably become the first blogging site where I’ve managed to reach the milestone of 1000 posts.

An awesome milestone, Chris. I sense this is an omen that the delightful vampiress with amnesia is going to find favor with fate and Karma and possibly even Pan Goatee for a romping success. I already suspect Renfield R. Renfield is going to love The Vampiress With Amnesia. Everyone else will too. No doubt. This is a story the human race has waited long enough for. 😀

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, indeed, the human race, most vampires and vampiresses and possibly even Michelangelo The Psychic Lobster. 😀

      • Hyperion said,

        It’s going to be a hootin’ Ho-down. 😛

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        Indeed.

And those are the same words Renfield uses as he dunks a porn star’s head under water in a hot tub. 😀

      • Hyperion said,

And it isn’t just Michelangelo making big bubbles in the water.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        LOL !

A wonderful milestone, dear Chris! I can’t wait for the novel The Vampiress with Amnesia to come out so I can buy the Kindle version from Amazon. I already purchased The Giant Rat of Sumatra when it came out and I warmly recommend the read to everyone! With your permission I’ll reblog the first chapters of the Vampiress from dear Hyperion as well, I think they would make a wonderful read for the community over at my blog as well. Big hug!

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

      Thank you, Ana. 🙂

Yes, I’d appreciate your re-blogging the first few chapters of The Vampiress With Amnesia on your blog.

That will get more readers to know about my work and if they like what they read in the first few chapters, they might then go and purchase the entire book. 🙂

      HUG

If this is your 100th blog for today, then for me it is my last day at work. Ever … But then, I am glad that it is so and it is the end for now, but the new beginning for the next chapter in my life …

I wish you all the BEST in this and take your time to sit back and enjoy for a moment this special event in your life. Congrats on this one, Chris! I can’t wait to look forward for your vampire stories! Won’t miss it just like the Giant Rat of Sumatra.

All the BEST of ALL the BEST, my friend!

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Awwww, thank you so much, Sherrie my dear friend. ❤

And thank you for the beautiful picture. 🙂

And if it wasn't for you, my dear friend, I may not have reached this 1000th post milestone.

You helped me through my severe bouts of depression after my dad died from cancer, after the nasty legal battle with my sister over his estate and after getting thrown out of my house after losing the legal battle.

Like I once told you my dear friend I always feared that I'd end up losing my life in the same manner as one of my favourite artists, Vincent Van Gogh.

But because you stood by me in my darkest moments offering words of support and encouragement, I've reached this important milestone.

THANK YOU, my dear friend. 🙂

      • ѕнєяяιє ∂є ναℓєяια said,

…. Geezzz, Chris … I never knew I am the one that helped you through this because I thought you have some others around you too who are there for you as well … I felt tears rolling down my cheeks while I read this … Touched me so deeply … Your words mean so much to me …

Hold on to your faith closer to your heart, my dear Chris … I cannot imagine how it is for me to be without you if you are gone …

Today, I went over to watch your Youtube vids again. I got a good laugh and I saw that one vid on Marlene which surprised me because I really, really love her as well. I know no one who loves and knows her. I sang even her song “Till There Was You” – I cried when I sang that song for the first time at the vocal class. It was just simply too beautiful.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Would that be the video I did to the song Lili Marlene as sung by Vera Lynn?

        This one here:

Lili Marlene is one of my favourite songs.

And Vera Lynn is one of my favourite singers.

And of course Charlie Chaplin is one of my favourite film makers.

Yes, you were the one who helped me through my most difficult times the past 6 years.

I remember a couple of months ago you had written one of your many beautiful poems and you had used to illustrate it a picture of a little boy and a little girl standing on the beach.

And the little boy in the pic was looking very sad and over his head were a bunch of really dark balloons with dark storms inside them.

As if to symbolize the little boy was overcome by dark thoughts and dark storms in his life.

And the little girl was holding in her hands a bunch of brightly coloured balloons filled with bright sparkling colours of light.

And the little girl was offering one of her brightly coloured balloons to the sad looking little boy.

As if to symbolize she was offering him hope through his dark times.

When I first saw that pic, I thought of the little boy as me with dark thoughts and dark storms in his life.

And the little girl as you offering a bright coloured balloon filled with light and hope.

      • ѕнєяяιє ∂є ναℓєяια said,

Yes, I know that of Lili Marlene. I’d watched that once with my father and he loves it. That was the first time he tried popcorn and then nearly break one of his tooth when he tried to chew that one hard stone corn! LOL

Oh, dear … of course I remembered that blog of which I posted up the pic of the boy & the girl with the colourful Ballons. That pictures strikes me and it caught my attention. It sends a very powerful message to those who sees it. That is why I chose it for that particular blog …

I am happy to be the one that helped you, but I felt like I do not help you or anyone good enough or enough at all … I always felt this immense guilt for not be able to lend a helping hand at this time when I myself are drowned in my own troubles. I felt I fell into a deep dark abyss that has no ladder for me to climb up to reach the light. I feel that I see no tunnels either where I can see the light towards the end of it … I felt much like this these days, Chris …

But even in these darkest days, I still can light up a tiny candle for those who needs a little brightness in their lives. I can give you my heart and friendship, but I cannot give anyone a comfort of gold or luxurious things … But as I can give people my heart, there is part of me that was torn apart while doing it … But then, I felt that to give a heart to have it planted elsewhere to grow so that person can raise up tall and happy are the best thing I can do for anyone who deserves it the most …

        You take care, Chris!

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        Thank you, Sherrie. 🙂 ❤

I know you're going through very dark days yourself, my dear friend.

That you too feel trapped in a dark abyss.

I hope that's why my writing brings some joy and laughter into your dark days to lift your spirits a little.

I think that's why I do a lot of comedic writing- for the same reason Robin Williams said he went into comedy- to bring some much needed laughter into people's lives when they might be having a bad day or need cheering up somehow.

I hope I'm able to accomplish that.

      • ѕнєяяιє ∂є ναℓєяια said,

It was because of Robin Williams that I wrote that terrifying sad short story on a fate of a lonely clown who died alone in his room … That was a terrifying dark blog I have ever written. My eldest told me it is written deeply enough that chilled her down her spine … She even asked me as if I ever seen death that close that I wrote that blog perfectly enough … Perhaps I did …

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, I remember that terrifying and very sad short story. 😮

      • ѕнєяяιє ∂є ναℓєяια said,

… let us just think of the positive and beautiful things then … death is far away to reach out …

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        Indeed.
