Storms At Sea: A Poem

Storms At Sea: A Poem
To sail on a clear blue sea
against a clear blue sky
to survey all at once
such calm greets the eye
But occasionally storms will arise at sea
As they do in life
Dark skies, angry waves
the ship is in strife
All seems lost
Like Peter in boat on Galilee
beset by tempest on that usually calm sea,
We cry, “Lord we perish”
We long for His words against the waves
before we dash against rocks that become our graves,
“Be still! Be calm!”
For His words are the great healing balm.

This one really showcases your versatility, Chris. A profound reference to a story of faith and courage when all seems lost. Something so hard for us to remember when we are the one tossed about on an angry sea.

I really love this poem, Chris. Just as Daniel wrote it up there, it shows your versatility. We all have storms at sea … we all do …
