If This World Were Narnia: A Poem
If This World Were Narnia: A Poem
If this world were Narnia
it would be at the height
of the White Witch’s Winter
A world where it is always
winter
but never Christmas
A world where beavers and fauns
and sons of Adam
and daughters of Eve
desperately search the icy ground
for any sign of a thaw
A sign that Aslan was finally on the march.
-A poem written by Christopher
Sunday June 26th 2016.

Yes, that is what I very much long for.
A world of Aslan. 🙂

All you need is a good map, a bota of good wine, thick crusted bread, and tasty cheese and you are set. The wine, bread, and cheese is easy. That freakin map is the challenge. Great poem, Chris. I felt the chill of that winter and it was 100 degrees F here today.

Glad I was able to convey the chill of the world of Narnia to you on an 100 degree Fahrenheit day, my friend.
That is quite an accomplishment. 🙂

That Canadian north wind was felt in every line. It just so happens the Black Dragons being dragons of the north made it especially poignant for this old Dragon trapped in the heat of the south.

Are you being hit by any of the tropical monsoon like weather that’s currently hitting a friend of mine who lives a few miles from Phoenix, Arizona?

We did have several big fronts move through with lots of damage and power outages. It usually takes about three days for the storms in the west to hit us. So, we do have advanced warning.

It certainly looks to be causing lots of damage. 😦

The Dragons are really acting up these days.

Maybe they bet on Britain remaining in the EU and when that didn’t happen, they lost a fortune on the stock market.
Now they’re really ticked.
Hyperion said,

I think that would do it. I know a lot of folks here in sunny north Bama are thinking the Brits are finally getting even. It will all settle down. Merkle, Putin, and O’ Bummer will have to come up with another plot to bring the world to their feet.

Yes, it’s back to the drawing board for them.

They have invited the Black Hand for consultation.

You’ll probably enjoy the story I posted tonight on my blog, Daniel.
It’s about that humourous and eccentric individual Belvedere who eventually became the ghost of a Ghost White Salamander.
It deals with his early days.

I do enjoy Belvedere. Can’t wait to make my way over to the old west to check in on him. 😀

This is a world of which one enters if only you are a child.
Quite unfair, actually.
I want to go there and meet Aslan as well.
But before that, I will pack a great deal of Christmas decos with me and a gramophone to play the old record of Bing Crosby of ‘White Christmas’.
But I know Santa stayed there too.
Why don’t he do Christmas there and he can beat the evil White Witch!
Aslan ate her already. LOL

Yes, I liked it when Father Christmas made an appearance in Narnia.
Yes, bring Christmas decorations and Christmas carols and Christmas songs and Nativity scenes. ❤
Yes, good-bye evil White Witch.
I look forward to when Jesus comes just like the good citizens of Narnia look for Aslan's arrival. 🙂

Yes, I must say that Tilda Swinton made a good job for being the White Witch. She is creepy good actress. I watched her with Tom Hiddleston as a vampire in a brilliant vampire movie called ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’.
That was a very brilliant and most artful vampire film I’d ever watched. Most highly intelligent unlike any other I have watched.

Hm. Never saw that vampire film.
These days I’m staying away from dark subject matter.
My own life is dark as it is and so I try to think happy thoughts like Lewis’ Narnia Chronicles where good triumphs over evil.
The reason my Belvedere chapters are funny and not scary.
I try to think on happy and joyful thoughts and humourous things so I don’t become depressed with not having a job and everything.
