Belvedere Meets Qonzilqointec

Belvedere was awarded the Hayden, Colorado Town Medal of Valour for slaying the vampire.

After the ceremony, Belvedere went back to the saloon.

He began wiping down the bar.

Just then the saloon doors opened and a beautiful looking Mexican woman wearing a beautiful purple evening dress walked through the doors.

She walked up to the bar.

“Evening, ma’am,” Belvedere greeted her, “what can I get you?”.

“Just a glass of iced water please,” she answered.

“One glass of iced water coming up,” Belvedere poured her a glass of iced water from the pitcher kept in the cooler.

“So you’re the man who slew the vampire?” She looked at him.

“Wow, word certainly gets around, doesn’t it?” Belvedere blushed.

“I myself am a Vampiress,” the woman smiled showing sharp vampiric incisors, “I am the Aztec vampire princess Qonzilqointec.”

“Really?” Belvedere looked shocked.

He felt bad at having to stake such a beautiful woman.

“But I’m not here to bite anyone on the neck so you don’t have to stake me,” Qonzilqointec smiled.

“That’s good to hear,” Belvedere quickly drank a glass of iced water himself.

“I’m here in Hayden, Colorado because,” the Aztec vampire princess leaned over to whisper to him, “this is one of the places believed that a group of Aztecs heading north to escape Cortes’ conquest of the Aztec Empire came and buried the Lost Gold of the Aztecs.”

“Really?” Belvedere was intrigued.

“So I’m here to look for it,” Qonzilqointec smiled, “Thanks for the iced water.”

She walked out the door.

“Any time,” Belvedere shouted, “here in Hayden, iced water is thicker than blood.”

For the first time in my life to hear that iced water is thicker than blood.
    LOL Surely Water is Life.
But Jesus did say that to the woman at the well that he can give her an Eternal life with the water he gives her. Certainly.

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

      That is very true, Sherrie.

Jesus does give water that is Eternal life.

Thank heavens for that water which gives life Eternal.

      Amen.

    Great next B chapter, C!
B meets the most interesting people!
Iced water is my drink of choice in the Summer!
I saw a pretty good western over the weekend and while watching it I thought of B and said, “Hmm…Belvedere’s story would make a great movie!”
    How are you doing, C?
    HUGS!!! 🙂

Just living day to day, Carolyn and doing a lot of praying.

My writing and my characters always did have the habit of writing themselves.

But I find this is especially happening with my character Belvedere.

He originally started out as a ghost who was an assistant to a stage magician in this current year of 2016.

      Therefore a minor character.

But back in early June of this year, I started writing about him in his mortal life however.

Conceiving him as a figure in the Wild West.

And his character is quite literally writing himself.

Fascinating as an author for me to watch actually. 😀

I love hearing about how your characters are born! 🙂 And how they take over and share their life with YOU!
I love stories and movies set in the Wild West. 🙂

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, I love stories and movies set in the Wild West too, Carolyn. 🙂

It’s the John Wayne in me.

I’m guessing there will be a gold hunt?) Ok, don’t tell me!

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, Natasha, there will be a gold hunt. 🙂

With vampiresses thrown in for good measure. LOL !

  4. Hyperion said,

Now it’s really getting good, Chris. I’m sure with the delightful Ms. Qonzilqointec in town looking for gold, Dracul Van Helsing isn’t far away.

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Well of course in 1880, Dracul Van Helsing hadn’t been born yet.

Qonzilqointec is somewhat immortal being a Vampiress.

And Sherrielock Holmes is immortal having eaten Supernatural mushrooms.

Belvedere is immortal having turned into the ghost of a ghost white salamander due to a series of unfortunate happenings.

Of course at the time of this writing, he is still a mortal human as is Sherrielock.

      • Hyperion said,

I guess this means Dracul Van Helsing shows up way too late to influence a positive outcome and thus the fateful day with the westward wagon and Belvedere is inevitable.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, it appears to be inevitable that the westward wagon will run into Belvedere.

      • Hyperion said,

It has to be otherwise he can’t become the ghost of a ghost white salamander. That would mess up his story, no doubt.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        Yes, very much so.

        LOL !
