In the neighbourhood of my childhood, there was a Blueberry Hill. It took me years to realize that Mr. Domino wasn’t singing about that special place.

      That’s interesting, Gary. 😊

I remember I knew this girl back in University who had a sense of humour much like Mae West.

There was a hill in Edmonton where all the male hookers hung out called Bellamy Hill.

And Gina used to go around singing, “I found my thrill on Bellamy Hill…”

Which shocked a lot of people when she sang.

      I always laughed.

Because I knew Gina’s sense of humour was a tiny bit risquΓ© like that of Mae West.

      Hi Carolyn,

I just came back temporarily to write a haiku for Fats Domino.

Also October 27th would have been my dad’s 90th birthday so I wrote a poetic tribute to him.

After that, I’m going to take another few weeks off.

It’s only with this break I took that I realized how much much I’ve been pushing myself to write.

I really have been burning myself out.

I left a comment on your post to your Dad.

Take time to rest and renew and know that we will hold down the fort until you can return. πŸ™‚

No need to get burnt-out. Find some non-writing things to do. πŸ™‚

        HUGS!!! πŸ™‚
