7 THINGS ABOUT ME

1. I prefer reading books in print rather than e-formats such as Kindle.

2. I’m not much of a sports fan.

3. Most of my favourite films/movies are from the decade of the 1940s.
I absolutely love that decade when it comes to movies.

4. I enjoy listening to Baroque, Renaissance and classical music.

5. My favourite fictional character is Sherlock Holmes.

6. My favourite authors are William Shakespeare, the Bronte Sisters, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Edgar Allan Poe, Dostoevsky, Cervantes and J.K. Rowling.

7. I long to visit the South Seas Island that often shows up in my dreams.
Of course it would help if I knew which island it was.
It just appears there in my dreams.

I love the 7 stuff about you, but especially the first two answers! I respect people who like sports but seriously when it becomes the main thing in the story I’m watching or reading, I’ll drop it without a second thought.
And I too prefer a printed book. It’s probably because I grew up visiting libraries and there are no eBooks in the 90s.

      Thank you, Jessica.

Yes, there’s just something about holding a printed book in one’s hand that sort of emits its own joy.

I’ve never got the same effect reading on digital media.

      • Jessica said,

Yep. There’s a warmth that only physical books can bring.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        I agree.

And holding one of those old leather bound volumes of books is always a real delight.

I personally prefer ebooks and I am a big sports fan. Oops! Hahaha
Thank you for nominating me! It is going to be very fun!

    Hi,

I thought I left you a message yesterday—both congratulating you and thanking you for mentioning me. As a relative novice to all this, do I then follow your format—and is there a time specification for doing so?

I am most appreciative, Christopher, as you know how much I enjoy your work (except for the dismemberments.)

  7. Dracul Van Helsing said,

    Hi Annie,

Yes, you follow the format I used above there.

No, there’s no time specification for completing this.

Jessica had actually nominated me for this a couple of weeks ago but I just found the time to do it now.

    Regards,
    Christopher

One more question: is your versatility title the one we should use—or is that a title you made up for this post?

      Thanks!

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

No, most people just have the title VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD as their blog title.

But everyone seems to have the words VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD somewhere in their title to let their readers know they’ve been nominated for the award. ☺

    • annieasksyou said,

Thanks again. I think you’ve sufficiently educated me so that I can venture forth!🍁
(That’s in tribute to your motherland, which, though flawed, seems like utopia to me at the moment.)

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        You’re welcome. ☺

Canada is a great place to live despite our pot smoking Prime Minister. ☺

  8. Judy Eun Kyung Kim said,

The Bronte sisters and Jane Austen❤️I love them too

  9. Jessica said,

Christopher! 😭 I scrolled through all your entries from the time I followed you to now, but sadly, I couldn’t find the post where you nominated me 😦 I’m super curious 😭

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

      Oh sorry.

I guess it was you who nominated me.

I knew somehow I had mentioned your name in one of my posts where I talked about awards.

But I guess it was where I thanked you for nominating me in this blog post.

      I apologize.

I must be suffering from pre-mature senility.

Or as an old friend of mine from University keeps telling me, “It may not be so pre-mature anymore.”

      • Jessica said,

Oh my, I hope not. It happens even to me who in my early 30s so I don’t think it’s a big deal. No sweat 🙂

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, I certainly hope not either.

I enjoy keeping track of things- particularly in world events.

It helps inspire my writing. 🙂
