Beach At Sunset

May 15, 2021 at 10:32 pm (Poetry) ()

Walk
Barefoot
Sand
Surging tide

Salt water
Fresh
Re-invigourating
Breeze

Seagulls cry
Sea
Rock
Sun sky

Day is done
Dusk lays down
Orange red carpet
For night’s arrival

She sits
And feels the sand
The breeze
The laps of water

Tranquil
At peace
Her inner strength rises
While the sun sets

Looking at photos of Q’orianka Kilcher seems to put me in a good mood.

I miss my homeland beaches where the sands are hot and the water is warm … unlike here in Europe the sands are cold and the water is icy even in summer …

And sunset is like a lost god that seems to look like as if it drowns in the sea all the time …

I bet your homeland beaches were very beautiful, Sherry. 🙂

I love your poetic description of sunset as a lost god that looks as if it drowns in the sea all the time. ❤
