August Evening
Another time
Another place
You looked resplendent on that August night
With you in my arms
We danced to a slow melody
It was an unforgettable August night
And I’ve never seen the likes of it again

Sigh. Beautifully romantic poem Chris. There is a full length movie in the poem brought to us with such spare words written thoughtfully and heart felt. All the Vampiresses think you wrote this for them.

Thank you, Daniel. 🙂
Yes, I guess all the Vampiresses will think I wrote this for them. 💞

I love your poems, Christopher. They’ve so beautifully delicate and they contrast perfectly with the humor of your political parody.

Nice romantic poem, but its a pity that you didn’t use “the face that could launch a thousand ships”, Nancy Pelosi.

That would have made this a horror poem then. 😅🎃🙀
