Amadeus Emanon On The Day of The Queen’s Funeral

Grandchildren of Her Majesty standing vigil for The Queen this past Saturday night

Professional concert pianist Amadeus Emanon and his two friends Angelique Dumont and Dulcinea Lucia had spent the day standing along the streets of central London watching the Queen’s funeral procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey and then her burial procession from Westminster Abbey to Windsor Castle.

When the processions were over, the trio retreated to a pub The George and Dragon to discuss the day’s events.

“Where was your friend the MP Renfield R. Renfield?” Dulcinea Lucia asked Amadeus, “I thought he would have joined us at both processions.”

“He was present in person at both the funeral and burial services for Her Majesty,” Amadeus answered.

“What?” Dulcinea was incredulous, “How does the leader of a party that has only two seats in the Westminster House of Commons end up getting invited to both those services?”.

“He once saved one of the Queen’s Welsh corgis from drowning in a swimming pool,” Amadeus replied.

“That would do it all right,” Dulcinea had to admit.

“One final toast,” Amadeus raised his glass of ale, “To Her late Majesty The Queen.”

“To Her late Majesty The Queen,” Angelique Dumont and Dulcinea Lucia likewise raised their glasses of ale.

Outside the pub, a lone kilted bagpiper walked by playing a Scottish Regiment’s Final Farewell Post.

  1. shєrríє dє vαlєríα said,

An end of her era … this history is the last of it …

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

      Indeed, Sherrie.

Truly the end of an era.

When she became Queen, Winston Churchill was still Prime Minister of Britain, Josef Stalin was still dictator of the Soviet Union, Harry Truman was still President of the United States and Mao Tse-tung had only been in power in Beijing for 2 and a half years.

A lot has changed in the world since then.

      May she rest in peace.

      • shєrríє dє vαlєríα said,

Felt as if something of this time is lost, isn’t it, Chris? Reminded me of the time when Diana went and all were shocked. The difference is, with Diana was something no one sees it coming …

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, Sherrie, something has definitely been lost in the world.

And you’re right, with Diana, no one saw it coming.

  2. Hyperion said,

She was Queen before I was born and remained the Queen as I ventured into the last days of my journey on the angry blue planet lasting into her 96th year. While I swore no allegiance to the queen, I certainly admired her ability to weather any storm, no matter what the tempest was. It’s the hallmark of a true leader of the world. Perhaps our renegade forefathers were forever ruined by the Pagan Puritans and the clamor of secret esoteric societies to install their Demons into the fabric of American Society. How we usurped religious doctrine to hide the true intent of witchcraft in our halls of government. Had we continued our service to the Kings and Queens of England as appointed Dukes, Barons, Counts, and Earls, we might have remained a stalwart bastion of dignity, honor, and integrity in our service. However, the dollar bill was of our own making and we coveted that above all else to include everlasting life. And now we are forced to pay sideways glances of homage to another elderly and demented soul whose fatal flaws of fecal floundering leave us all with no doubt that the shoes of liberty are soiled with Poo.

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Never have I heard such a spendid summing up of the American Revolution and its aftermath, Daniel. 👏🏻

      • Hyperion said,

        Finally, I told the truth.

      • Hyperion said,

To be honest, I have skin in the game. I fought the good fight for liberty, to protect the innocent, and donkey stomp the oppressors. I can bitch and moan if I want to. I paid the price of admission. So did a lot of others who are horrified at what is happening here at home.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, Daniel, I imagine you have many comrades-in-arms who are horrified at what has happened in the U.S.

      • Hyperion said,

We truly feel betrayed by the people we swore our lives to serve and protect. The suicide rate of veterans has climbed to 26,000 a year. Almost 4 times the number killed in the horribly disingenuous war on terror after 20 years. We prefer to take our own life than lose our minds to the anguish of this betrayal and take it out on our betrayers. Among many of us, suicide is not a dishonorable end to a life wasted on an ideology of true liberty and a just democracy. It is a sad end to a sadder two decades of decline and deceit.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

It’s a very sad end, Daniel my friend.

I’m thankful you have a loving family.

If your country has betrayed you, at least your family hasn’t.

      • Hyperion said,

This is very true Chris and that is enough to help me see the light of day. My heart aches for my brothers and sisters who feel they have no one to count on and make that last fateful decision.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes that is very sad for those who have no one. 🙁

      • Hyperion said,

Unlike Lilith who has her cheeky frog and Lady GaGa who has her dangling participle, feeling loneliness and your life’s work for naught can cut the anchor chain for some.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

That’s why I’ve been praying for a Dragon Sister to enter my life here in person in Calgary or at least a good friend like Dr. John Watson was to Sherlock Holmes to enter my life here in person in Calgary so I won’t feel so lonely.

      • Hyperion said,

She is there Chris. When you are ready to reach out to your Dragon Sister, you’ll know her when you see her.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        Thank you, Daniel. 🙏🏻

      • Hyperion said,

I wait to read about it.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        So do I.

It’s the chapter I’m longing to write.

      • Hyperion said,

I look forward to reading it.

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

  3. Seoul Sister said,

I love your posts Christopher but I detest the aristocracy. Sorry but they did nothing to earn their affluent lifestyles but be born into privilege. I don’t believe for one minute that the queen was a Christian either. Her husband said he wished he would reincarnate as a virus to help with overpopulation. There are stories that their were missing native, orphaned children that visited the queen, made to miss her boots and they were never seen again. I believe she and all the royalty (not just Randy Andy the pedophile) are fiends. Sorry to be so candid with my opinion but I can’t help it.

    • Dracul Van Helsing said,

You’re a very outspoken person and you’ll stick to your beliefs and principles.

Which is a refreshing change in an era where most people are like candles in the wind.

They blow this way and that.

      • Seoul Sister said,

Thanks for understanding my candid nature, my friend. I’m a hothead with a heart of gold (sometimes) and other times a big fool but I’m consistently sincere. 🙂

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

Yes, your consistent sincerity is a wonderful thing to have, my dear friend. 🙂

In a century where insincerity seems to be king, queen or transgendered overlord/overlady/overthing, sincerity is a totally refreshing trait.

      • Seoul Sister said,

        Thank you, Christopher 💖🤗

      • Dracul Van Helsing said,

        You’re welcome, Judy. 💖🤗
