Andrea Angelicus

Andrea Angelicus (the woman they call the Phoenix Woman) was flying on a luxury private jet owned by one of the world’s wealthiest mega-investors.

“An excellent cocktail,” Andrea said as she sipped it.

“I call it the Scarlet Pimpernel,” said the mega-investor.

“Scarlet Pimpernel?” Andrea smiled at him, “You strike me as being more like Citizen Chauvelin rather than the Scarlet Pimpernel.”

“Are you saying that I’m a villain?” The mega-investor inquired.

“You said it,” Andrea put her drink down on the table, “I didn’t.”

The mega-investor was one of the big wigs behind the annual Davos Summit and a promoter of the Great Reset.

He also financed various Neo-Trotskyite revolutions around the globe.

He would bring about that global Soviet Union that Trotsky failed to produce because Trotsky was pushed out by Josef Stalin in becoming the master of the Russian based Soviet Union.

“I’m awaiting a phone call,” the mega-investor finished his own Scarlet Pimpernel, “An acquaintance of mine is stealing information that is necessary for my next chess move.”

Andrea returned to their own chess game aboard the plane.

As the mega-investor moved his white bishop, Andrea moved her black queen and took his king.

“Checkmate,” she smiled.

The mega-investor’s phone rang.

“What?” The mega-investor was shocked, “He’s dead?”.

The mega-investor put his phone back in his pocket.

Looking at Andrea, the mega-investor said, “My acquaintance was killed trying to steal that information I needed.”

“How disappointing,” Andrea finshed her Scarlet Pimpernel cocktail.

She then vanished.

. . .

A T-Rex ET was going through the files in the filing cabinets at Set Enterprises.

The London-based billionaire ancient Egyptian vampire Set insisted on keeping paper files of everything just on the off chance the world’s computers might someday be hit by an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) and all computerized electronic records were lost.

As the T-Rex ET went through the files, Extremely Curious George (the stegosaurus genetically created by Set Enterprises’ chief scientist Dr. Cadbury Rocher) entered the room and noticed the evil looking creature.

Approaching stealthily, George used his spiked tail to strike the T-Rex ET in the area of his heart.

The T-Rex ET fell over dead.

And a mega-investor had lost one of his acquaintances.

Andrea Angelicus: Another Time, Another Place

May 8, 2021 at 10:32 pm (Art, Culture, Film, History, Mystery, Poetry, The Supernatural, Vampire novel) (, , , , , )

Andrea Angelicus: Modeling for an artist

Andrea Angelicus in another time, another place
Not the Coviet Union laden world of 2021
But Paris in the year 1948
She was in an artist’s studio
Modeling for an artist

“What will you call this piece, Klaus?”
Andrea asked.
“Klaus?” The artist looked surprised.
“I doubt very much your name is actually Henri,”
Andrea noted,
“Like the first name in your artist’s signature
On your paintings suggest.
For you have a German accent
Not a French one.”

“I am not a Nazi,” Klaus (aka Henri) stated emphatically.
“I never said you were,” Andrea waved her FDR style cigarette holder
holding her smokeless cigarette as if it were a magic wand.
“But these days most people think that,” Klaus sighed.

“I ask again, Klaus,” Andrea gave the impression of dropping cigarette ash on the floor, “What will you call this piece?”.
“The Woman of Midnight,” Klaus answered.
“Intriguing name,” Andrea smiled.
“Thank you,” Klaus put the finishing touches on his painting.

Klaus then signed his nom-de-plume signature to the painting
And asked,
“Tell me, Miss Andrea Angelicus, do you have any names besides Andrea Angelicus?”.
“I’ve been called the Phoenix Woman,” Andrea answered.
“Intriguing name,” Klaus smiled,
“Do you rise from your own ashes?”.
Andrea stepped into her circle of non-existent cigarette ash
and vanished.

Klaus looked
And noticed she was gone.
He felt his heart pounding in his chest
and slumped to the floor.

Klaus Grau was dead
But Henri Gris
would live on
through his paintings.

In An English Country Garden

May 7, 2021 at 10:13 pm (books, Geopolitics and International Relations, History, International Intrigue, News, The Supernatural, Vampire novel) (, , , , , , , , , )

Charlotte in an English country garden

“Miss Charlotte?” Dracul Van Helsing asked.

“I’m Charlotte Williams,” the woman smiled.

“The Emperor Napoleon is not with you?” Van Helsing inquired.

“He’s down at a village pub talking to a fellow named Renfield,” Charlotte answered.

“Trust Renfield to be up to speed on cosmic happenings,” Van Helsing had to admit.

“Come with me to the library,” Charlotte said.

“All right,” Van Helsing agreed.

In the library, Charlotte Williams handed Van Helsing a book Claudius’ History of The Etruscans.

“I thought this book was lost to history,” Van Helsing thumbed through it, “Let alone an English translation was available of it.”

“Napoleon had that book in his library in his house on the island of Saint Helena,” Charlotte walked into the country estate manor’s living room where there was a piano.

She sat down and played Bach’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring.

“I wonder how it got here,” Van Helsing sat down in a chair with the book and listened to Charlotte play.

“I don’t know,” Charlotte continued to play.

Van Helsing’s smart phone rang.

He answered it and talked briefly.

“Talk to you soon, Whitstable,” Van Helsing put his smart phone back in his pocket.

“Whitstable?” Charlotte looked at Van Helsing.

“A friend of mine,” the vampire hunter explained.

“When the Emperor Napoleon was talking to the Phoenix Woman Andrea Angelicus, he said there were sketches on the second last page of that book Claudius’ History of the Etruscans,” Charlotte explained, “Sketches that Napoleon himself drew of visitors he saw a few days before he died. Sketches that he put in the book after they left. Napoleon after talking with Andrea said he’d give the sketches to Whitstable.”

Van Helsing went to the second last page of the volume and removed some very old looking pieces of paper.

He took a look at them.

They were sketches of ET T-Rexes emerging from a UFO flying saucer shaped craft.

“Sinister looking things,” Van Helsing noted, “I imagine Whitstable will be grateful to receive the sketches. But whoever these beings are, they look like super nasty and super tough customers.”

“Someone can defeat them,” Charlotte continued to play Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring.
